The world we depend on is changing and this shift is accelerating.
Our green corridor is a mix of thick forest, semi ancient glades, rambling brambles and open rides. Having been left alone for some time it is now being seen as an opportunity to conserve and enhance the environment for the benefit of all that inhabit it.
Considered felling has already increased the buzzards population and we have seen a hobby return two summers in a row. The woodpeckers join the smaller birds on the feeders in the depth of winter and the cuckoo visits as soon as April is through. We are rewilding for the purpose of nurturing nature.
In return we are given an invisible gift. A new world opens up and a new perspective can be found. We'll explain how trees communicate underground, how nettles are superfoods. We can show you how to start a fire, build a den, track animals.....

Meet our woodland manager Kate
Kate has been a part of the woodland on Gotham Hill since she was aged in single digits! She remembers the purchase off the Forestry Commission in the 1980s,
"The main concern was for a Hobby nest and a badger sett within the woods. The impact of clear felling or development was a threat. The Forestry Commission had planted pine where Strawberry Hill had been scoped for mining. They didn't want to see the area lost and so for a private buyer to get involved we knew we could keep the wildlife and woodland safe for the future".
